160801-N-WA993-089 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 1, 2016) Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class (SW) Reynard Liberato, from San Jose, California, disassembles a windshield wiper motor outside the navigation bridge of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). “I’m trying to determine whether there are mechanical or electrical problems with the windshield wipers,” said Liberato. “It’s nice to be in port so we can fix this. Underway, we can’t fix this because of flight operations or bad weather.” Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
