Petty Officer 3rd Class Alex Robertson explains his role in the process of crafting eyeglasses to Rear Adm. Priscilla Coe, deputy chief of staff of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and deputy chief of the Navy Reserve Dental Corps, July 23, 2016. Robertson is an active-duty hospital corpsman assigned to Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity (NOSTRA). A team from NOSTRA is creating single-vision eyeglasses at Graves County High School in Mayfield, Ky., as part of the Bluegrass Innovative Readiness Training Exercise. The U.S. Navy Reserve, Kentucky Air National Guard and other military units partnered with the Delta Regional Authority to offer medical care, including eyeglasses, at no cost to residents in three Western Kentucky locations from July 18 to 27.
