(May 15, 2017) - Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Jesse Browning and Utilitiesman 3rd Class Edward Skeen, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, discuss the correct procedures for bolting down the fiberglass matting during an airfield damage repair scenario on Forward Operating Base Anderson in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during the battalions’ field training exercise (FTX), May 15. FTX prepares and tests the battalion’s ability to enter hostile locations, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks using realistic scenarios while being evaluated by Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1.
