SPOKANE, Wash. (May 18, 2017) Aviation Maintenance Administrationman Airman Chad Callahan, from Long Island N.Y. and assigned to USS Constitution, raises his cutlass aboard a replica float made by Navy Operational Support Center Spokane for the 2017 Spokane Navy Week. Since 2005, the Navy Week program has served as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence, with 195 Navy Weeks held in 71 different U.S. cities. The program is designed to help Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
