FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 16, 2017) Builder 3rd Class Thomas Dykes, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, explains his defensive fighting position to Rear Adm. Brian Brakke, commander, Naval Expeditionary Combat Command, during the battalions’ field training exercise (FTX). NMCB-4 is conducting their final graded FTX, testing the battalion’s command, control and communication functions through a variety of simulated real-life scenarios encountered during deployments.
