FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 16, 2017) - Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3 walk the length of the airfield to locate and measure the craters, spalls and ordnance, caused by a simulated airstrike from enemy forces, in order to complete an airfield damage repair scenario on Forward Operating Base Anderson in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during the battalions’ field training exercise (FTX), May 16. FTX gives Sailors the opportunity to practice and apply seabee combat warfare skills, provide host nation security support and stay mission ready in a simulated environment intended to replicate in-country operations.
