FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 15, 2017) Builder 3rd Class Robert Berry, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, explains his defensive fire pit sectors of fire to Capt. Mike Saum, commander, Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1, during the battalions’ field training exercise (FTX). NMCB-4 is conducting their final graded FTX, testing the battalion’s command, control and communication functions through a variety of simulated real-life scenarios encountered during deployments.
