SAN DIEGO (May 18, 2017) Machinist’s Mate (Weapons) 2nd Class Philip Rolle, assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Alexandria (SSN 757) shares the "first kiss" with his wife as the ship returns to Naval Base Point Loma following a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific region. Commissioned June 29, 1991, measuring more than 360 feet long and displacing more than 6,900 tons, Alexandria is capable of supporting various missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, strike warfare, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
