CARTAGENA, Colombia (Sept. 15, 2016) U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Michael Bigelow, a preventive medicine technician assigned to Naval Environmental Preventative Medicine Unit 2, moves timber to a construction site during Southern Partnership Station 2016 (SPS 16). SPS 16’s medical engagement team joined the construction engagement team to help construct a sanitation station for rural Colombian residents in Cartagena, Colombia. SPS-16 is an annual deployment of U.S. ships to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America.
