Chief Operations Specialist Nate Klimis holds back tears as a chief petty officer cover is placed atop his head during a CPO pinning ceremony aboard USS Bataan (LHD-5) Sept. 16, 2016. Klimis said becoming a chief is something no one can do alone. “When we first come into the Navy, a lot of us don’t know what it means to hold the weight of the anchor,” he said of his new title.
