The chief pinning ceremony is part of a long-standing tradition that honors and recognizes the years of hard work, service and leadership of dedicated Sailors in the Navy. As part of their new responsibility, new chiefs are expected to guide their junior Sailors and uphold the legacy of the chief petty officer.
