160915-N-EU999-001 KEFLAVIK, Iceland (Sept. 15, 2016) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 2nd Class Tyler Young, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 8, conducts sensitive site exploitation to complete a roadside improvised explosive device response in support of CTF-68/U.S. 6th Fleet's annual Northern Challenge Exercise. Northern Challenge 2016 is an Iceland-hosted multinational explosive ordnance disposal counter-improvised explosive device exercise in which participants share military tactics, techniques, and procedures in order to achieve greater interoperability when conducting combined peacekeeping and humanitarian operations, or when countering global or regional threats to maritime security.
