A digitally hand-drawn portrait of the late Eleanor Wackernagel, a long-time NATO advocate. It was created to serve as the centerpiece, and brand inspiration for the Ellie Wackernagel exhibit, part of the larger NATO Allied Command Transformation’s traveling history installation, which debuted at ACT's Change of Command Ceremony in September 2021 and has since been featured at every other significant command event. The Wackernagel project began after Ellie's family donated her NATO media collection to ACT. Allied Command Transformation is NATO’s warfare development command located in North America, dedicated to preserving the peace, security, and territorial integrity of Alliance member states by leading the warfare development of military structures, forces, capabilities and doctrines.
